Phoebe Mildred Teeples

Phoebe Mildred Teeples was born on November 30, 1907, in Greer County, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, February 22, 2008, in Yukon, Oklahoma, at the age of 100. Mildred, the daughter of Robert Numbers and Ida Wimberly Goss, was a long-time resident of Meeker. She married Alvin G. Teeples on April 7, 1930 in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1987. Mildred was a homemaker, was the oldest living member of the Meeker First Baptist Church, and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her parents, one son, one daughter, two grandchildren, two brothers, and five sisters also preceded Mildred in death. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Barbara Teeples of Mustang; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Ted Foster of Chelsea; daughter-in-law, Betty Teeples of Sand Springs; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren
