Phenon Ivory Griffin

Phenon Ivory Griffin was born on February 15, 1925, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2006, in Meeker at the age of 81. Phenon, the daughter of Frank Preston and Daucy Vida Teeples Flowers, was a resident of Meeker. She was married to Leonard Kenneth Griffin. He preceded Phenon in death on August 9, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Her parents; one son, Jimmie M. Steele; and two sisters also preceded Phenon in death. Survivors include her son, Carl Ray Steele of Meeker; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and cousin, Vada Warren of Meeker. Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker on Friday, December 1, 2006, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
