Percy Glen Bolen was born in Dos Palos, CA, on November 23, 1942 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the age of 73 years. Percy was the son of Percy and Lila Grace (Brown) Bolen. Percy was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud, he owned and operated Bolen's Garage and Lincoln Tank Truck Service in Stroud for many years. Percy was a man that lived life to the fullest. Percy loved working and providing for his family. He was known to be able to fix just about anything. You would be hard pressed to find a bigger John Wayne Fan. He married Marilyn Terry on November 12, 1962 in Stroud. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Survivors include, wife, Marilyn of the home, two sons and daughter in laws, Percy and Jodi Bolen of Norman, Mark and Jeana Bolen of Mesa, AZ., two daughters, Charie Johnson and husband Johnny of Norman, Mechelle Bolen of Collinsville, one brother and sister in law, James 'Bo' and Linda Bolen of Broken Arrow, two sisters, Mary Lou Spry of Prague, and Nancy Burcham and husband Jim of New Castle, seven grandchildren, Hayden Elmore, Jacob Barton, Chelsey Barton, Felicia Bolen, Brieanna Bolen, Elisa Bolen and Bane Bolen, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud with Rev. Jeromye officiating. Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
