Pauline V. Pierce

Pauline V. Pierce, age 81, of McLoud, OK, was born September 17, 1932, in Soper, OK. She was the daughter of Odie & Zyree (Long) Tanksley She left this life on Monday, February 24, 2014, in McLoud, OK. Pauline married Sam E. Pierce on July 19, 1949, in Boswell, OK. She was an owner and operator of the Pierce's 59th Street Grocery for 32 years. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, working in the yard, tending to the animals and she enjoyed playing with her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include herhusband, Sam E. Pierce, McLoud, OK; son, Emmitt Pierce, Albuquerque, NM; 1 granddaughter, Angella Dushack & husband, Steven, McLoud, OK; 4 great-grandchildren, Kierstin, Zachary, Abigail & Elijah and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
