Paul Michael Wilson

Paul Michael Wilson was born on September 6, 1935 in Prague, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 28, 2020 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 84. Mike was born to Paul G and Helen Elizabeth (Cerveny) Wilson. Mike married Billie Jo Evans on February 13, 1965. He graduated from Stroud High School in 1953 and went on to attend college at Eastern College and also the University of Oklahoma. He joined the Marine Corp in 1956 and served through 1962, during his service he spent time in Japan and the Philippines and also many other places. Mike worked at the First State Bank in Stroud from 1962 until 1975 as a cashier, vice president and also executive vice president. After leaving the banking industry he was self employed with interests in oil and gas, real estate and investments. Mike was very active in the Chamber of Commerce, Stroud Industries, American Legion, 32nd Degree Mason with Stroud Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, Member and Deacon of First Christian Church. He also was instrumental in planning, building and securing the financing for the Stroud Golf Course. Mike loved his golf and OU football. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Wilson. Survivors include wife Billie Jo Wilson of Stroud, Oklahoma; son Stephen Wilson of Claremore, Oklahoma; son Mark Wilson and wife Kara of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two grandsons Jacob and Caleb Wilson; sister Caroline Patton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; niece Sally Patton and nephew Doug Patton both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mike was greatly loved and will missed by all who knew him. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 3, 2020 at First Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma with Rev. Paul Ragle officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
