McLoud, OK resident, Paul E. Nelson, 68, joined his Lord in Heaven on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006. Paul was born on March 2, 1938, to Clifton and Thyra Miller Nelson of Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Northeast High School with the class of 1956 where he played football. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 1960. Paul served his country with the United States Air Force as a Major. He was Commander of the 937th Air Evac Unit at Tinker Air Force Base, owned and operated Northeast Wrecker Service in Oklahoma City, owned Paul Nelson Ford in Jones, OK, and raised cattle at the Flying N Ranch in McLoud. Paul was a member of the Jones Chapter of the Masonic Lodge, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a past member of the India Shrine Temple. He was an active member of the Republican Party in Lincoln County and a member of Hazel Dell Baptist Church in McLoud. Paul loved the Lord, his wife ?Pearl,? his children, and his grandchildren. His parents; one brother, Clifford Nelson of Lusby, Maryland; and his beloved dog, Halfer, preceded Paul in death. Survivors include his wife, Myrna Nelson of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Trish Greenfield of Fredericksburg, TX; one daughter and son-in-law,Angie and Tawn Rose of Southlake, TX; six grandchildren, Deseree? Brown and her husband Dustin of Stillwater, OK, Chelsea, Chantz, Destiny, and Chaney Rose of Southlake, TX, Colton Greenfield of Fredericksburg, TX; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie Jack and Beth Nelson of Lusby, MD; sisters-in-law,Barbara Nelson of Lusby, MD; Vicky Downey and her husband Don of Woodward, OK; numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
