Patsy Ruth Hale

Patsy Ruth Hale, Harrah, OK, age 71, was born on October 3, 1937, in Marshall, TX. Her parents were James William and Ruby Darlene Phillips. Patsy moved to her heavenly home on April 29, 2009 after a long illness. Her family came to Harrah, OK when she was in high school and she graduated from Harrah High School in 1955. She married Ival Jennings Hale, Jr. on February 9, 1956. She and Ival lived most of their lives in Harrah. She was employed as a bookkeeper in a bank and helped her husband and father in the family owned trucking business, JW Phillips, Inc. She and Ival co-owned Hale Hardware in Meeker for several years. Although she was an avid reader, her primary interest was her family. She loved having her family around her and enjoyed preparing meals for large family gatherings. Patsy and Ival raised 2 children, James and Darla, in Harrah Schools and participated in many school activities. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Billy James Phillips, her son, James Hale and her sister-in-law, Sandy Hale. She is survived by her husband, Ival Hale, of the home; her daughter, Darla Haese and husband, Joe, of Meeker; her daughter-in-law, Renee Hale of Harrah; her sister, Ann McGill and husband, Lloyd Butch; her brother-in-law, Dr. William Hale; 5 grandchildren, Sheree Gruwell and husband Tim of Las Vegas, Elliot Hale of Harrah, Kim Hubbs and Farley Sisson of Shawnee, Jennifer Stewart and husband Brian of Tecumseh, A J Haese and wife Jackie of Meeker; 7 great-grandchildren, Payton Hubbs, Kaylee & Nicholas Stewart, Bryte & Emmie Haese, Kasey & Aaron Gruwell as well as several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 4, 2009, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Glenda Skinner-Noble officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
