Patricia (“Pat”) Ann (Anderson) Herber went to her reward on Friday April 21, 2023, at the age of 60. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
Pat was born on December 5, 1962, in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late David Lee and Mary Marie (Heizelman) Anderson. She grew up on the family farm in Parkland, Oklahoma, where she lived the entirety of her life. She attended Happy Valley School through the Eighth Grade before eventually graduating from Stroud High School in 1981. While at Stroud High School she met the love of her life—despite her initial annoyance—Theodore (“Ted”) Ray Herber.
Pat and Ted met while working show pigs in high school. They eventually fell in love on the Anderson family farm while Ted volunteered to help with the hog operations after Pat’s father passed away unexpectedly in 1980. They married shortly thereafter on October 10, 1981—her parents’ 29th Wedding Anniversary—at the Lightning G Farm on Kendrick Road near Stroud, Oklahoma. They settled on the original Anderson homestead where they eventually built a house and raised their two children: David Ray and Casi Rene. They raised their kids at New Covenant Church in Stroud where they have been members for nearly 30 years. While Ted worked outside the home, Pat ran the home operations while shuttling the kids between sporting events and various other school activities. She attended every one of their baseball, softball, football, basketball games and track meets. She was known for her cooking (her chocolate chip cookies were of regional fame), her helpfulness, and kind demeanor. She was a loving and committed wife, mother and Christian who constantly put the needs of her loved ones ahead of her own.
Pat is survived by her husband of 41 years Ted; her children David and wife Ruth Anna (Bayles) Herber, Casi and husband Jordan Long; sisters Donna Lee Smith and Linda Marie Anderson; brother-in-law Jeff Inskeep, grandchildren Eleanor Ann and Anderson Ray Herber plus three expected triplet boys; nieces and nephews Kathy and husband Derek Clutter, Amber Inskeep, Brandon and wife Amber Inskeep, Jeanette Rogers, Tara and husband Aaron Bowers, Dixie Rosier, and Billy Rosier.
Pat is preceded in death by both her parents Lee and Marie Anderson; her sisters Mona Beatrice Inskeep and Betty Joe Anderson.
In lieu of flowers the family has request memorial contributions to the "Pat Herber Agricultural Youth Memorial Fund" at BancFirst locations.
