Patricia Joann Edmonds

Patricia JoAnn (Ellison) Edmonds was born in Prague, Oklahoma on April 14, 1942 to Troy and Beulah Ellison; and departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2020. She lived most of her life on the family farm in Meeker. She and her husband Thomas were married on January 14, 1965 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. They both were long-time members of the Aydelotte Church of Christ. Patricia was a housewife and helped her husband at the Farmers Market selling fruits and vegetables. Her reputation for making "Peanut Brittle" and "Coconut Pies" was legendary. As the Holidays neared everyone would ask if she was planning to make and sell her Peanut Brittle. She loved watching baseball and basketball games along with drinking her Dr. Pepper! It didn't matter who was playing just wanted to watch. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds outside her window. She had a love for plants, flowers and animals, especially dogs as she did raise Boston Terriers and Pugs, they were her life. Her dogs Rowdy and Dusty will be lost without her. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents ,1st husband Burman Moore, husband Thomas Edmonds, and one Sister & brother in law Wilma and Glen Standlee. She is survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Helen McKee (husband-George) of Prague, Elvesta Standlee of Meeker, George Ellison of Meeker, & Howard Ellison (wife-Patricia) of Mustang. She also leaves behind a host of Nieces and Nephews who loved her dearly and she treated them all as her own children. The family wishes to express their heart-felt appreciation for the compassion provided by the nursing staff of the ICU unit, 3rd floor nursing staff at St. Anthonys Shawnee, Oklahoma and the caring support provided by Heartland Hospice. Patricia was also known as Pat, Jan & JoAnn; no matter the name, she will be missed by many family and friends.
