Patricia A. “Pat” Carry was born on August 19, 1923, in Dixon, IL and departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2010, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 86. Pat, the daughter of John Edward and Vivian (Culter) Alexander and the step-daughter of Winston S. Edwards had been a long-time resident of Midwest City. She graduated from Dixon High School and attended Northwestern University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Pat married Donald James “Don” Carry on May 12, 1945, in Dixon, IL. She had been active in many civic organizations in Midwest City including being a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a member of the Scissortail Home Extension Club and the Retired Officers wives. Additionally, she was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Oklahoma City and was active in many Church activities including the Altar Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Don, on March 8, 2001. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James and Dr. Melissa Carry, Dallas, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Andy Walding, Oklahoma City, OK, Suzanne and Sam Bacon, Highland Village, TX; grandchildren, Erik Bacon & his wife, Ginger, Caroline Deeter & her husband, Aaron, Christy Carry, Chloe Carry, Alexandra Hall, Meredith Hall; great-grandchildren, Samantha Bacon, Colton Bacon, Charlie Deeter, Eddie Deeter. No public viewing requested by the family.
