Owen Virgil Moore

Owen Virgil Moore was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on March 15, 1923 and departed this life in Cushing, Oklahoma on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Owen was the son of Eddie Monroe and Mattie Dickson Moore. Owen was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Stroud and retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. He married Edna Virginia Poskey in Stroud, Oklahoma on May 23, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Edna on March 12, 1980, 1 son, and 2 sisters. Survivors include, One Son, Eddie Moore of Stroud, OK, One daughter & son in law, Linda and John Waller of Broken Arrow, OK, Two Grandchildren, Steven Waller of Tulsa, OK, Debbie Wedding of Appleton, WC, Two Great Grandchildren, Preston Hodge of Tulsa, OK, Samantha Waller of Stroud, OK, Memorial Service will be held at the Stroud Cemetery on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Paul Ragel officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
