Orvile Forest Igleheart passed away on August 7, 2004, at the age of 83. Forest was born on December 4, 1920, in Paden, Oklahoma, to Henry Orvile and Grace Loney Igleheart. A life-long resident of Paden, Forest was co-owner of B&F Oil Company, a wholesale gasoline and oil company, which was in business for over 50 years. Forest volunteered for duty during World War II and served in the Army Air Corps for 3 years. He served as Crew Chief with a crew flying PBY amphibious airplanes in Europe doing search and rescue missions where he was awarded two bronze stars. Forest was an active Mason, and was past Master of his lodge. He received his 50-year pin in 2002. He was a very active civic leader and school supporter. He served on the Okfuskee County Industrial Board, and served as Mayor of Paden, helping the town obtain major water and phone systems and improvements during his terms. He was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Shorthorn Cattle Association, and a donor member of The National Cowboy Hall of Fame. Forest was a 71-year member of the First Baptist Church of Paden. He loved his God and lived his life accordingly. He is with Him now. His mother and father; two sisters, Mae Blackford and Dortha Tims; three brothers; Homer, E.J., and Bill; and one daughter-in-law, Debra, preceded Forest in death. Survivors include his loving wife, partner, and best friend of 58 years, Mildred Burcham Igleheart; daughter, Diana Lynn Igleheart of Oklahoma City; son, Michael Forest Igleheart of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Jason Igleheart of Kansas City, MO and Ryan Igleheart and his wife Dana of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins spanning 3 generations.
