Opal Louise Temple

Opal Louise Temple, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on August 19, 1909, at the family home east of Chandler, and departed this life on August 24, 2006, at her home in Chandler, at the age of 97 years. Opal was the daughter of A.O. and Mabel H. Rowley Kalka. She married Milton Glen Temple on April 19, 1935, in Chandler. Opal was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards and other games, was an avid gardener and walked frequently for exercise before it became popular. Opal was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler. Her parents, husband, two brothers, Joe Kalka, and Irvin Kalka, three sisters, Minnie Leake, Ruth Clarkson, and Viola Ingram preceded Opal in death. Survivors include, One daughter, Glenda Temple of Chandler, Numerous nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends Expression of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cancer Research Division of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or to the Prairie View Hospice in Chandler.
