Opal Irene Thronesbery, Edmond, Oklahoma resident, formerly of Chandler, was born on September 14, 1920, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and departed this life on May 14, 2006, in Edmond, at the age of 85 years. Opal was the daughter of William and Cordelia Taylor Haus. She married Floyd Thronesbery on July 1, 1940, in Chandler. Opal was a Nurses Aid and a homemaker for many years. She attended the Sunset Heights Baptist Church in Edmond and the First Assembly of God Church in Chandler. Her parents, husband of 51 years, Floyd, two sisters, Emma Crystal and May West, step-brothers and step-sisters preceded Opal in death. Survivors include, Two daughters and sons-in-law, Melba & John Ewing of Edmond, Carolyn & Jimmie Ledgerwood of Okmulgee, Three grandsons, One granddaughter, Three Step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, Twin great-grandchildren on the way, One brother-in-law, Bethel Thronesbery, Two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thronesbery, Gracie Thronesbery. Several nieces and nephews. Other relatives and many friends.
