Olen Leonard "Pete" Prewitt

Olen L. 'Pete' Prewitt was born in Konawa, Oklahoma on May 18, 1929 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Pete was the son of Earnest L. and Liddie F. (Gaylor) Prewitt. He was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He graduated from Stroud High School in 1948. He retired from Allied Material Corp. as a Lab Tech., he also work after his retirement at the Stroud School, Turner Turnpike and was a Ranch/farmer. He was a member of the Stroud Rural Fire Association. Pete was of Christian faith. He married Goldie M. Hixon in Chandler, Oklahoma on October 16, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include, Wife, Goldie of the home, One Son & Daughter in Law, Olen 'Bud'Jr and Terry Prewitt of Stroud, Two Daughters & Son in Laws:Fran and Wayne Wood of Stroud, Ruth & Marlin Thomas of Okla City, One Brother, Charley Prewitt of Stroudm, Five Grandchildren, Jeremy, Delanie, Justin, Ginny and Amy, Seven Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Ron Keeling and Rev. Rex Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the Little Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
