Odes Ray Sexton

Odes Ray Sexton, 81 of Stroud, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather and Brother passed away on November 1, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Ok. Ray was born August 12, 1937 in Depew, OK to Carl and Anna (Stieman) Sexton. He married Anna Lee (Bunyard ) on December 29, 1960 in Stroud, OK. Ray worked in the oilfield for many years, and retired from Devon Energy. He served in the Army National Guard for 8 years from 1960 to 1968. Ray was a member of the American legion for 52 years, and a member of the Stroud First Assembly of God Church. Ray loved fishing and deer hunting. He and Anna Lee where members of the Treasure Lake RV Resort , and a member of the Cimarron Sams. He loved restoring old cars and was a member of the U.S. 66er's Car Club. Ray also raised cattle for a short time. Ray was preceded in death by his parents , two brothers Jack Sexton and Claude Sexton Survivors include wife Anna Lee Sexton; of the home, one son and daughter-in-law Steve and Patsy Sexton of Stroud two grandchildren; Amber Sexton of Prague and Aaron Sexton of Stroud one sister Estelle Brown of Bristow. Funeral Service will be held 10:00a.m. Monday 11/5/2018 at the Stroud Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jeromye Jackson officiating, with interment to follow at Stroud Cemetery. Service are under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
