Ocie Ernest Day, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on June 16, 1919, in Union Township, north of Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on April 7, 2005, at his residence in Chandler, at the age of 85 years. Ocie was the son of Percy and Mary Jane Williams Day. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Ocie married Mary Margaret Boden in Chandler, Oklahoma, on June 2, 1944. He was employed for 37 years at Earl Hart Chevrolet in Chandler, and was a member of the Chandler Church of Christ. His parents, wife, two brothers, and three sisters have preceded Ocie in death. Survivors include: Two daughters; Anne Johnson of Davenport, OK; Elaine Hull of Beaumont, TX; One brother; Ronnie Day of Fresno, CA; Five grandchildren & spouses; Tammy & Bill Chandler of Seminole, OK; Lori Stout of Seminole, OK; Stacey & Randy Hampton of OKC, OK; Jonny Hull of Denver, CO; Misty & Matthew Stevens of OKC, OK; 5 great-grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 great-great granddaughter; Other relatives and many friends; Expressions of sympathy may be made to the, American Cancer Society, and the Parkinson?s Disease Association. Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Ron Edwards officiating. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
