Norva Vanmeter

Norva Naomi VanMeter was born on January 28, 1930, in Depew, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Norva, the daughter of Frank and Olivia Beatrice (Lakins) Beck, was a resident of Prague. She married Eugene VanMeter on April 2, 1945, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1993. Norva was a mail carrier and a member of the Burnett Mission. Her parents, one brother, one sister, one son, and two daughters also preceded Norva in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Monty and Caroline VanMeter of Dustin; daughters and son-in-law, Fronciene and Charles Landrum of Weleetka, Christiene Griffin of Prague; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
