Norma Pennington

Norma Fern Pennington was born on June 17, 1923, in Macon County, MO, and departed this life on Friday, September 24, 2010, in Chandler, OK, at the age of 87 years. Norma, the daughter of James William and Mabel (Evans) Liedorff, was a resident of Chandler. She married Dr. John Lowe in 1943, after his death she married Dr. Dee Pennington. Norma was a retired school teacher, having taught at Wellston for many years. She was a member of P,E.O., Eastern Star 50 year member, Alpha Delta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Alpha, O.R.E.A., Oklahoma Retired Teachers, Lincoln County Retired Educators, having served as treasurer for many years, and the Chandler First Christian Church. Norma served on the Chandler Library Board and volunteered at the Lincoln County Historical Museum. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one brother, and one niece. Survivors include, one nephew and spouse, Gary and Marianne Liedorff of CA,great nephews, Bill Liedorff and Denny Azoon of CA, great nieces, Michelle Liedorff and Rebecca Jamaca of CA. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 11:30 A.M., at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Rev. Christine Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Wellston Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
