Norma Lea Scarberry

Norma Lea Alexander Scarberry, age 80, of McLoud, OK, was born on May 3, 1925, in Norman, OK. She was the daughter of Oscar & Dovie Wynne Alexander. She left this life on October 31, 2005, in McLoud, OK. Norma graduated from Norman High School. She married Roy Scarberry on May 28, 1943, and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Norma and her husband operated a farming business in the McLoud area for over 50 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Norma was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, gardening, playing Bridge and square dancing. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include her husband, Roy Scarberry of the home; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Larry & Dolores Scarberry, McLoud, Terry & Robin Scarberry, McLoud; 1 daughter, Diane Gwin, Norman; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2005, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Bryan Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
