Norma Jean White

Norma Jean (York) White of Paden, passed away at the age of 89 on July 22, 2020 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Norma was the daughter of James Oliver and Mary Ann (Burleson) York. She was born in Paden, Oklahoma and was a long-time resident of Paden. She graduated from Paden High School with the Class of 1949. Norma met JB White when the two were 8 years old. They became friends and were eventually married. The two were happily married for over 70 years and raised four children. Norma loved to bake and sew. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a proud mother of four, grandmother of eleven, great grandmother to twenty 3ight and great great- grandmother to six. She was also a dedicated church goer. She had a great passion and love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She came from a family of evangelicals and she was a long time member of the Prague Holiness Church and later a member of the Paden Holiness Church. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Clifton “JB” White; parents, Oliver and Mary York,; one brother, Jimmy Don York; one sister, Lorene Palmer; son-in-law, Carl Case; grandson Donovan Davenport; granddaughter, Monica White Salisbury and father and mother-in-law, John Barnabas and Pearl White He is survived by his children, Sherrie Case, Joy Hlavaty and her husband Jim, Terry White and his wife Diane and Monty White and his wife Mickey; grandchildren, Robin Bullard and her husband Curtis, Ronda James and her husband Brett, Kelly Case and his wife Charity, John Davenport, Brandon Davenport, Kylie Teape and her husband Trey, Spencer white and his wife Elise, Starsky White and his wife Angelica and BJ Salisbury. He is also survived by twenty-eight great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
