Norma Irene Miller, age 79, of Harrah, OK, fell asleep on November 17, 2015, to rest and to confidently wait, upon the promise of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to return. Norma was born on November 24, 1935, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the youngest child of Otis E. & Fredonia (Kohlhorst) Davidson. Norma graduated from Sand Springs, Oklahoma high school in 1953 and Tulsa Business College in 1954. She was the accounts receiver supervisor for Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa from 1954 to 1963. She also worked part-time for Chase Potato Chip Company. After her marriage, she moved to Choctaw, Oklahoma and worked for Southwestern Electric Company in Oklahoma City from January 1964 until October 1965. Jim and Norma moved to Tennessee for six months. Upon their return to Choctaw, Norma began working for University Hospital (now OU Medical Center) as an administrative assistant in hospital administration from March, 1966 until she retired in March, 1993. At OU Medical, she organized many committees and made sure all the doctors had the correct credentials. She also helped the residents with their work scheduling. Norma was an active member of the Summit Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church in Harrah, Oklahoma. Through the years she served as the Young Peoples secretary and primary Sabbath School teacher for the Tulsa SDA Church. She served as Sabbath School secretary and worked with the Pathfinders for the Sand Springs Church. Norma served as church clerk and treasurer for the Choctaw SDA church. While a member of the Harrah SDA Church, she served as assistant and then General Sabbath School Superintendent and member of the social and telephone committee. On October 12, 1963, Norma married James (Jim) Edward Miller in the Sand Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Donald and Robert Davidson, and sister, Barbara Francisco. She is survived by her husband, Jim of Harrah, OK; sister, Dorothy Williamson and her husband, Quentin of Bowie, TX, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 20, 2015, at Summit Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Summit Ridge Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
