Norma Gayle Bland

Norma Gayle Bland was born on January 21, 1938 , in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, February 23, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 71. Norma, the daughter of Jim Loyd and Ella Pliva Andrew, was a resident of the Prague area most of her life. She married Bobby Gene 'B.G.' Bland on June 29, 1956 at the Church of God in Oklahoma City. Norma was a medical transcriptionist and a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church. Her parents preceded Norma in death. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, B. G. Bland of the home; son, Steven Bland of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ricky Lee of Prague; brother and sister-in-law, James and Frances Andrew of Prague; sister, Marclyn McGinnis of Prague; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Josh, Kristen and Whitney; 3 great-grandchildren, Piper, Gage and Rowan. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Mike Haines officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
