Noema Flanagan-Millican-Kessler, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born July 25, 1923, in Wellington, Texas, and departed this life on January 4, 2017, in Lindale, Texas, at the age of 93 years. She was the daughter of J. B. and Shirley (Hall) West. Noema was raised in Guymon, Oklahoma, where she graduated high school in 1941. In August of 1941, she married W. J. Flanagan of Goodwell, Oklahoma; W. J. passed away in 1977. Noema married Henry Millican, and after he passed away in 1982, she then married Clifford Kessler who died in 2004. Noema accepted the Lord at a early age. She was a former member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church, and at the time of her passing, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas. Her parents, husbands, and one son, Dennis Eugene, preceded Noema in death. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Ann and Dr. Marvin Applewhite, of Mineola, Texas, and Beverly Jo and Joe Hughes of Euless, Texas; two grandsons and spouses, Dr. Andrew and Blanca Applewhite, Dr. Aric and Dr. Linda Applewhite; seven great-grandchildren, Madison, Andrew, Isabel, Christopher, Logan, Zachary, and Elizabeth; other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Equippers Group International, PO Box 399, Euless, Texas 76039. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Parks Brothers Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Joseph Hughes and Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
