Nita Louise Martin

Nita Louise Martin was born on August 8, 1951, in Enid, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 63. Nita, the daughter of Arthur “Sog” and Betty Lou (Branham) Willis, was a resident of Meeker. She married Gail Martin on July 25, 1996, in Meeker. She was very active in her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed making Christmas candy, canning and anything to do with pecans. Her mother and brother, Mikel Willis, preceded Nita in death. Survivors include: husband of 18 years, Gail Martin of the home; father, Arthur “Sog” Willis and his wife, Effie of Meeker; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Robyn Miller of Meeker; daughters and son-in-law, Lucretia Cornelius of Meeker and Cheryl and David Dickson of Meeker; sisters, Katherine Gouker of Prague and Joyce Flowers of Meeker; grandchildren, Ashley, Erica, Bailey, Britney and Destiny; 7 great grandchildren and other family and friends. Viewing and visitation will be held at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Mammoth Baptist Church in Meeker with Rev. Mike Hazelwood officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
