Nancy Jane Slaughter-Knox

Nancy Jane Slaughter-Knox was born on February 20, 1938 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania and departed this life on May 29, 2019 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 81. Nancy was the daughter of Wallace and Audrey (Washburn) Tompkins. She will be remembered for her love of dogs, gardening, garage sales and mostly her love for family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Knox, brother Allen Tompkins, and granddaughter Laci Lynn Berg. Survivors include her daughter Kari and husband Joel Karr of Denison, Texas, step-daughter, Christy and husband, Lonnie Massey of Bailey, Texas, sister Carol Hall of Harpursville, New York, Grandchildren Amber and husband Zach of Denison, Texas; Sara and Brent Ulch of Southmayd, Texas, Megan and Ryce Massey of Bailey, Texas, and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Stroud Christian Church with Will Fine officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Oklahoma Humane Society.
