Myrtle Lee Cockrill

Myrtle Lee Shannon Cockrill was born on December 7, 1918, in Sage, Arkansas, and departed this life on Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Myrtle, the daughter of William Haven and Nora Elizabeth Sipe Shannon, was a resident of Meeker. She married Woodrow Wilson Cockrill on December 5, 1936 in Newport, Arkansas. Myrtle was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 19, 2008; her parents; and two sisters, Mildred Smith and Myrlene Moser. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Nora E. and James H. Taylor of Midwest City and Rhonda L. and Scotty S. Cowan of Wellston; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
