Minnie Rozell, long-time Lincoln County, resident was born on February 5, 1914 in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on October 6, 2004, in Perry, Oklahoma at the age of 90. One of 9 children, Minnie was the daughter of a German immigrant father William and Sarah Jane Lyle Mauch. She married Waldon Hunt on October 27 1950, in Bentonville Arkansas and after his death in 1968, she married Wayne Rozell Sr. on September 4, 1976. Minnie having no children of her own took on the role of mother and grandmother for then 6 stepchildren and 10 grandchildren. Minnie was a 1931 graduate of Chandler High School. She was a businesswoman working at several banks including Union National Bank of Chandler and retiring from the Bank of Meeker in 1976. She lived most of her life in Lincoln County, south of Chandler. She was a long time member of the Chandler, First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Minnie had lived in Perry for the last 8 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, two husbands 8 siblings, and 2 stepdaughters. Survivors include: Four step-children, Peggy and Scott Ophliant, of Oklahoma City, Wayne Rozell Jr. and Karen Rozell of Chanlder, Dennis and Cheryl Rozell of Oklahoma City and Linda and Paul Knecht of Perry Oklahoma. 11 Grandchildren, Bronna McNeeley of Burkburnett Texas, Melinda Hamlin of Fritch Texas, Gary Rozell, and Cheryl Raper of Chandler, Patty Graf, Lori Knighton, Michael Rozell, Chris Knecht, and Sherri Guyse all of Oklahoma City, Rebecca Balch of Broken Arrow and David Knecht of Talequah, and their respective families. 16 great-grand children, several nieces and nephews including, William Ogg and Pat Ogg of Texas and Don Mauch and Bruce Mauch of Ada and their respective families.
