Milo Everett Foreman

Milo Everett Foreman was born on January 13, 1919, in Seminole County, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, October 16, 2015, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 96. Milo, the son of George and Minnie Foreman, was a graduate of Prairie Valley High School. He then attended Seminole Junior College and Tulsa Business College. He proudly enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 16th, 1941. He then went on to serve his country in Europe for 37 months during World War II and was called back for active duty for a year during the Korean Conflict. He married Norma Dawkins in January 1951. Milo was employed by Prague National Bank for 46 years, and eventually served as President and Chairman of the Board. He was active in the American Legion, Lion’s Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Prague First United Methodist Church for over 60 years. He was named Prague’s Citizen of the Year in 1978, and received the Chamber’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. He was instrumental in bringing the Christmas Tree Program to Prague in 1995. Milo volunteered for many years with the annual Kolache Festival and along with his wife, Norma, was honored by the Festival in 2012 as Grand Marshal of the parade. One of his most meaningful experiences was the ability to attend the Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2011 with his son. Milo’s parents, brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Norma Foreman of Prague; sons and daughters-in-law, Karl and Karen Foreman of Loveland, CO, Brent and Debbie Foreman of Yukon, and Lance and Debbie Foreman of Norman; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Joel Lason of Coppell, TX; 9 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Memorials may be made to Prague First United Methodist Church (7901 NBU, Prague, OK 74864), or the American Heart Association. The Foreman family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Derrek Belase officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery in Seminole County.
