Mildred A. Paden

Mildred A. Paden, Choctaw, OK, age 82, was born on September 17, 1927, in Pottawatomie County, OK. She was the daughter of Fred H. West & Edna (Pitchford) Wyrick. She departed this life on Sunday, November 1, 2009, in Midwest City, OK. Mildred was very active in her church, Bethel Christian Center in Choctaw, where she was a member of the Prime Time Seniors and the Women's Connect Group. She was also a member of the Oklahoma County Triad. She loved working the elevators at the OSU games, traveling, camping, crocheting blankets and making quilts. She was famous for her award winning carrot cake and crocheted baby blanket. Mildred had a special gift for helping people. She loved her family including her extended church family and spending time with them. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd 'Sonny' Paden, infant son, Terry Lee, infant daughter, Kim, granddaughter, Amanda Wynn, great-grandson, Bryson Kyle Reser, and three brothers, Fred, Jr., Johnny & Kenneth West. Survivors include 4 sons & daughter-in-law, Chuck Rose, Florida, Kenneth & Donna Rose, Luther, OK, Darrell Paden, McAlester, Donald Paden, Georgia; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Connie & Alvin Wynn, Choctaw, OK, Felesa & Geoff Agan, Harrah, OK; 3 brothers, Buddy West, Boswell, OK, Billy West, Oklahoma City, OK, Ron West, Boswell, OK; 2 sisters, Ruby Smith, Harrah, OK, Freda Stone, Oklahoma City, OK; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the Bethel Christian Center, Choctaw OK, with Dr. Dick Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
