Michael William Brooks

Michael William Brooks was born on April 13, 1941, in Middletown, Ohio, and departed this life on Monday, December 8, 2008, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 67. Michael, the son of John Joseph and Ethel Marie Davis Brooks, was a resident of Seminole. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps and worked in the maintenance department of Norce Resource Center in Enid. He married Rita Ann Smith on July 27, 1971, in Wellington, Kansas. They made their home in Seminole the last 12 years. Michael was a member of El Shaddai Church. His parents; step-father, Bill Roberson; three brothers; and one grandson Caven Frankee preceded Michael in death. Survivors include wife, Rita Brooks of the home; son, Michael Brooks, Jr., of Enid; daughters and sons-in-law, Karry and Larry Frankee of Covington, Michele and James Parker of Enid; brothers, John Brooks, Tony Brooks, Jeff Roberson; sisters, Dana Roberson, Diana Roberson, Joann Brooks, Jerry; three grandchildren; and former wife, Peggy Isbell of Enid. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM, at the Baptist Church in Covington with Frank Johnston officiating.
