Michael F. Freeman

Michael Francis Freeman, age 64, of McLoud, OK, was born on February 23, 1947, in Niagara Falls, New York. He was the son of Frank Calvin & Edna Alice (Nolan) Freeman. He left this life on Saturday, March 5, 2011, in McLoud, OK. Michael graduated from Midwest City High School, Midwest City, OK. He retired from the U. S. Air Force as a master sergeant. Michael was an ordained minister. He was also a teacher and taught special education classes. He received his Doctorate in Washington. Michael loved history, fishing, boating, computers and most of all his bird, Michael T. Greenbird. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy and nephew, Shawn. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Angela & Matthew James Gumbiner, McLoud, OK; brother, John Freeman, Niagara Falls, NY; 2 sisters, Patricia Freeman, Fontana, CA, Peggy Godwin, Santa Monica, CA; fiancee, Sheryl Varnum West, Midwest City, OK; 2 grandchildren, Wesley & Markalex and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
