Melvira Broyles

Molly Melvira (Smith) Broyles was born on November 6, 1919, in Meeker, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, June, 20, 2009, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Melvira, a homemaker, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Meeker and was affiliated with Heart to Heart Golden Years, a singing organization. Melvira, the wife of Leonard A. Lincoln Broyles, was a resident of Meeker, OK. She married Leonard on December 21, 1940 in Shawnee, OK. Melvira was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Wendell Broyles, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include husband, Leonard Broyles of Meeker; son and daughter-in-law, Gil and Christy Broyles of Edmond; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Royce Shackelford of Tecumseh; daughter-in-law, Rayna Broyles of Prague; four grandsons; four great-grandchildren.
