Melvine Midge Allen

Melvine Midge Allen was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on October 3, 1917 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday March 13, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Melvine was the daughter of Roy Lee and Florence Ethel Reddick Manning. She was a resident of Stroud most of her life. Midge married Clyde Alden Allen in Davenport, Oklahoma in August of 1932. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, Red Hats Society, and was an exceptional Homemaker of her time. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 twine sisters, Maggie, and 1 sister, Charlene. Survivors include, One Son& daughter in law, Benny and Sharon Allen of Oklahoma City, One Daughter& Son in Law, Betty and Jim Riede of Stroud, One Brother& Sister in Law, Carl and Dorothy Manning of Tulsa, One Sister, Lorene Remington of Stroud, Four Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Granddaughter. Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday March 17, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Joel Betow officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
