Melvin G. Moore

November 5, 1941 — April 26, 2020

Melvin Glen Moore was born on November 5, 1941 in Milfay, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 26, 2020 at his home surrounded by family in Drumright, Oklahoma at the age of 78. Melvin was born to Earl and Irene (Cannon) Moore. Melvin served this country and joined the Army. He graduated from Stroud High School. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Melvin loved to fish and play golf. One of his favorite things to do was attend and watch his grandkids sporting events. He was an extremely hard worker. He worked in carpentry and then worked many years in the oil and gas field. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Earline Dervin. Survivors include his wife Patsy Moore Grant; his daughter Melanie McFee and her husband David; his daughter Lyn Hiltzman and her husband Kevin; his grandchildren Chris Beavers, Stephanie Freeman, Devin Hiltzman, David Hiltzman, and Zack Wunderlich and his wife Cheyanna; also 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Charles Moore and his wife Lola; his half-brother Michael Moore and his half-sister Cheryl Whitman. Melvin was loved and will be missed by many other family and friends. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from Noon until 8:00 PM and also Thursday, April 30, 2020 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Oakdale Cemetery in Depew, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
