Melvin Curtis Bean

Melvin Curtis Bean, Harrah, OK, age 70, was born on March 2, 1936, in McLoud, OK. He was the son of Harry Lee & Arvona Floyd Bean. He left this life on May 7, 2006, in Harrah, OK. Melvin graduated from Harrah High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was an auto mechanic and a good bartender. Melvin loved listening to music. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; two children, James Wells and Patsy Pipkin; one grandchild, Kelsey Pipkin; two sisters, Doris Kitze and Vona Geisler; three brothers-in law, Leonard Kitze, Carl Geisler and Bill Yousey; Tenna Mae Bean. Survivors include his wife, Tena Ward of the home; children, Melva & Rigo Carbajal, Oklahoma City, Donna McClellan & Sandy Smith, Oklahoma City, Danny & Meri Bean, Oklahoma City, Bobby & Brenda Bean, Guthrie, OK, Rebel & Jimae Bean, Oklahoma City; 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Don & Lora Bean, Marshall, NC, Richard & Toni Bean, McLoud, OK; 1 sister, Ann Yousey, Choctaw, OK; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews, many dear friends and Ginger, his dog. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Rossville Cemetery, Meeker, OK
