Melvin C. Miller

Melvin C. Miller, age 85, of Harrah, OK, was born on February 27, 1931, in Pushmataha County, OK. He was the son of Ted Rosevelt & Ruby Lee (Cogburn) Miller. He left this life on Monday, November 14, 2016, in Harrah, OK. Melvin married Lou Irene Teague on July 12, 1952, in Vernon, Texas. He worked for Oklahoma County and was the road grader in eastern Oklahoma County for many years. He enjoyed gardening, working with his hands and loved to work on small engines. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lloyd Miller, sister, Naomi, grandson, Jason Musgrove, granddaughter, Tearsa Miller and one great-grandson, Nicholas Jack Miller. Survivors include his wife, Irene Miller of the home; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Robert & Phylis Miller, Hollister, MO, Ernie & Katherine Miller, Harrah, OK, Jimmy & Betty Miller, Nicoma Park, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Carolyn & Ken Hightower, McAlester, OK; sister, Jane Hardin, Oklahoma City, OK; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 16, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2016, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
