Melissa Ann Davis

Melissa Ann Davis was born on January 31, 1973, in Milbank, South Dakota, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 42. Melissa, the daughter of Dean and Maria Christensen and Marvin and Karen Keimig, was a resident of Prague. She married Scotty Davis on July 1, 2000. Melissa grew up in Clear Lake, South Dakota, where she completed high school with the class of 1991. She then moved with her kids and husband to Wyoming. After a few years they decided to make Prague, Oklahoma their home in 2008. She enjoyed spending time with family and seeing her grandkids growing up. She liked playing cards and keeping up with her TV shows. She was not able to do a lot but she went out of her way to help her kids and grandkids, and was always there to give a listening ear and share her advice. She will be truly missed. Survivors include: husband, Scotty Davis of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Cullen Davis of Prague, Cort and Britani Guffin of Shawnee, Dakota Davis of Prague, Dillyn Davis of Buena Vista, GA and Gary Waterman of Moore; daughters and son-in-law,Desirae and Shaun Nichols of Prague and Michaela Davis of Shawnee; grandchildren, Alyssa, Addisyn, Alex, Breely, Carissa, Charli and Kenzligh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin Keimig of Clear Lake, SD, Martin Keimig of Clear Lake, SD, August and Kim Christensen of Startell, MN, and Allen and Allison Christensen of Dickenson, ND; other family and friends. The Davis family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2016, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Calvary Way Church in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
