Melisa Sue East

Melisa Sue (Stephens) East, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 41. Melisa was born on February 17, 1981 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was the daughter of Scott Newham and Deanna (Stephens) Wood. Melisa grew up in DeQueen, Arkansas, she then relocated to Broken Bow, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1999. She and her family have made Prague, Oklahoma, their home for the past five years. Melisa was known for her heart of gold. She enjoyed life and spending time with her family. While she fought illness for much of her adult life, it never impacted her loving spirit. In her free time, she loved to shop online and to connect with her friends and family through the internet. Melisa was preceded in death by her father, Scott Newham; her grandparents, Boyd and Grace Stephens; her niece, Shelly Blagg and special aunt, Terry Sowell. She is survived by her mother, Deanna Wood and stepfather, Roger Ramsey; her sister, Maria Mora; two aunts, Judy Blagg and Susan Mann; two uncles; Lonnie Stephens and Tommy Stephens; her beloved Chihuahua, Demon Lee and host of family and friends.
