Maxcine Smith was born in Boley Oklahoma on August 24, 1934 to Theodore and Florence Tomlin. Maxcine, also called "Mac" was the third eldest of six children. Maxcine attended school in Boley. She met and married James Smith on July 25, 1953 and to this union, two children were born, Billie Jean and James Jr. Maxcine worked and retired after twenty-four years from the John Lilly Correctional Center. Maxcine was a very hardworker and dedicated her life to God. She faithfully attended Full Gospel Non Denominational Church in Boley until becoming ill.
Maxcine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Bessie, her brother, Theodore and her grandson, John.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daugher, Billie, of Prague; her son, James Henry II and his wife, Sherry, of Boley; her sister, Etta Hornbeck of Oklahoma City, her brother, Rudolph Tomlin of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Full Gospel Non Denominational Church in Boley. Burial will immediately follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Boley. The family will accept guest from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
