Mary Susan Parkerson

Mary Tyler Parkerson was born January 25, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri and departed this life on January 11, 2023, in Chandler, OK at the age of 77 years.

Mary spent her younger years in Omaha, NE where she met her former husband Homer “Toby” Tyler (D) and moved to Louisiana where she raised her 4 children. After raising her kids, she moved to Oklahoma where she resided for the past 30 years.

As Mary never wanted to learn to drive, she spent most of time walking around Chandler visiting and eating at local establishments. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat, Snoball.

Survivors include her 3 children, David James Tyler (Chandler, OK), Lori Tyler Masquat (Chandler, Ok) and Dawn Tyler Lambert (Prairieville, LA). 6 grandchildren, Katelynn Thibodaux, Brandon Tyler, Kristin Lambert, Lauren Masquat, Tenley Tyler and Avery Tyler. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Tyler.

Informal viewing will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 8:00 - 11:00 AM for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Private Family viewing from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with private burial for immediate family only at Oak Park Cemetery immediately following.
