Mary Seaton

September 8, 1940 — February 25, 2016

Gertrude “Mary” Seaton was born on September 8, 1940, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and departed this life on Thursday, February 25, 2016, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 75. Mary, the daughter of John Aaron and Willie Alma (Leonard) Watson, was a resident of Paden. She married L.J. Seaton on November 8, 1983. She worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as a lake gate keeper. Mary enjoyed roping, crocheting, reading and country and western music. She loved spending time with her family, especially baking with her grandkids. Gertrude’s parents and eight siblings preceded her in death. Survivors include her Husband of over 32 years, L.J. Seaton of Paden; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Beck Hill of Moore, and Sheldon Scott and Sandra Hill of Tecumseh; daughter, Quina Hill of Newalla; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Mary Watson of Sulphur; and numerous other family and friends. The Seaton family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2016, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Clabber Flats Cemetery in Stratford with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
