Mary Ruth Chandler- Cox

Mary Ruth Chandler-Cox, 82, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mary was born on January 31,1937 to Charles Porter Sr. and Mary Polly (Barksdale) Sissons in Sparks, Oklahoma. Mary married Glen Chandler and the two were married until his passing in 1972. In 1975, Mary married Roy Cox. Mary was a longtime resident of Chandler. In her spare time Mary enjoyed volunteering at the Museum in Chandler. She also loved to spend her time in her garden making everything look beautiful. She also delighted in making her home feel inviting and beautiful as well. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father; a sister, Rena Faye Taylor, and three brothers, Charlie, Bill and Bobby Sissons. Mary is survived by her husband, Roy Cox; a son, Henry Chandler, sister-in-law, Gearline Sissons, nieces, nephews and other family members. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the VFW Post #1719 in Chandler, Oklahoma officiated by Eddie Taylor. A later burial will take place at New Zion Cemetery in Chandler, Oklahoma. Condolences can be expressed at www.parksbrothers.net.
