Mary Margaret Stevens

Mary Margaret Russell Stevens, age 90, of McLoud, OK, was born on July 3, 1915, in Lindsay, OK. She was the daughter of Edward J. & Grace L. Murphy Russell. She left this life on December 4, 2005, in Shawnee, OK. Margaret graduated from Bradley High School in Bradley, OK. She married Charlie A. Stevens on February 15, 1936, in Shawnee, OK and moved to McLoud, OK in 1942. She worked for the Shockey & Shannon Clinic in Harrah and worked as a sheet metal fabricator at Tinker AFB retiring after nine years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of McLoud. Margaret enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include 1 son & daughter-in-law, Charles Edward & Marilyn Stevens, Pasadena, TX; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Mary Ann & Delbert Dossey, McLoud, OK, Carol & Dick Latshaw, Lutz, FL; 1 brother, Charles Russell, WA; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the First Baptist Church, McLoud, OK with Rev. Larry Sparks and Rev. Ernest Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
