Mary Louise Tascier

Mary Louise Tascier passed away on January 30, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mary was born October 27, 1940 in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Robert Harris and Hazel (Kimmery) Rigsby. She grew up in Moore, attending Moore Public Schools. She married Alvin Carl Tascier on June 1, 1957 in Norman. The two had four children, Allen, Jeanine, Dale and Jannie. The couple were happily married for 62 years. Mary wore many hats in life. She was a great cook, everyone loved her garlic fried chicken, chicken and dressing, homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. She was a school bus driver for both Noble Public Schools and Prague Public Schools. She worked for several years for the Prague Veterinary Clinic. She even went out and got her nursing license at age 50. She was a farm wife, taking on any chore necessary on the farm. She could bale hay or plow a field with the best of them. She loved to mow grass on her Bad Boy Mower and she loved to garden and spend time outside. Her favorite hat of all was that of being a mother. She was always so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being involved in their activities and watching them grow up. She very much enjoyed aggravating her son-in-laws. Mary and her huge hugs will be greatly missed. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-in-law and one brother. Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alvin Carl Tascier; children, Allen Tascier and his wife Sindy, Jeanine Jones and her husband Del, Dale Tascier and his husband Michaelde'angelo and Jannie Rankin and her husband Michael; two sisters, Diane Rigsby and Patricia “Sue” Vis; two brothers, Ronnie Rigsby and Roy Rigsby; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to stroke research or the Alzheimer’s association in Mary’s name.
