Mary Lou Way

Mary Lou Way, long time Meeker, Oklahoma resident was born on October 19, 1926, in Meeker, OK and departed this life on Sunday, June 6, 2010, in Shawnee, OK at the age of 83 years. Mary Lou was the daughter of Benjamin Jacob and Virgia (Bragg) Christy. She married Billy Eldon Way in Riverside, California on December 15, 1944. Mary Lou was a homemaker and a member of His Church in Meeker. Her parents preceded Mary Lou in death. Survivors include, husband, Billy Eldon Way of the home, four sons, Randy Way of Meeker, OK, Billy Maxon Way of Meeker, OK, Richard Keith Way of Midwest City, OK, Harold Robert Way of Meeker, OK, three daughters, Sherry Lou Wilfong of Yukon, OK, Roberta Christy Coleman of Meeker, OK, Deborah Tarpenning of Okla. City, OK, one sister, Virginia E. Shaw of Meeker, OK, 17 Grandchildren, 24 Great grandchildren, 3 Great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at the First Christian Church in Meeker, OK with Rev. Glenn Walters officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
