Mary Jo Oliver

Mary Jo Oliver departed from her earthly home to begin her eternal life in God’s presence January 25, 2018, with her husband and Christian Brother Lowell Wallace by her side. Mary Jo was born to Woodrow and Josephine Kolar on November 3, 1946 in Prague, OK. She married the love of her life, Leroy Oliver, on November 16, 1963. They enjoyed 54 years together. She was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed being a great homemaker and marvelous cook for her family. She loved the outdoors where she truly enjoyed fishing for crappie and trout with her husband and family. When her dad was alive she loved turkey hunting. The one main love in her life was her Lord and Savior. There were many happy years spent worshiping and fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ at Deer Creek Baptist Church. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Troy Don Oliver and her son-in-law, Lyle Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Oliver, of the home; son, Brad Oliver of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Brayden and Josephine Oliver and their mother Heather; daughter, Carol Johnson of Westport, CT; grandsons, Jaden and Colin Johnson; daughter, Laura Luce; grandchildren, Dylan, Nathan and Sadie Luce; brother and sister-in-law, John and Carolyn Kolar; nieces, Keri, Kim and Riann; sister-in-law, Shirley Redeker and nieces, Robyne and Brandi and many other family and friends. The Oliver family will receive friends on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 1:30 PM, at Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud with Pastor Mike Haines officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
