Mary J Sossamon

Mary J. Sossamon, age 81, of Jones, OK, was born December 26, 1931, in Meeker, OK. She was the daughter of Charles Earnest & Rebecca (Gentry) Williams. She left this life on Friday, March 15, 2013, in Midwest City, OK. Mary was a homemaker and a child care provider for twenty years at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw Children's Weekday Ministries. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Choctaw, OK. Mary loved to work in the garden and spend time with her grandchildren and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack. Survivors include 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Mike & Linda Sossamon, Krebs, OK, Larry & Mona Sossamon, Jones, OK, Tony & Christy Sossamon, Harrah, OK; daughter, Teresa Sossamon, Jones, OK; 3 sisters, Nellie Bowen, Harrah, OK, Marie Pershon, Garden Grove, CA, Bessie Waters, Poway, CA; 7 grandchildren, Sara, Amanda, Andrea, Taylor, Reeves, Emily, Daniel & Madison; 4 great-grandchildren, Holly, Leif, Kai & Eli and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 18, 2013, at the First Baptist Church, Choctaw, OK, with Rev. Gerald Lunsford and Dr. Ray Sikes officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
