Mary Helen Miller

Mary Helen Miller, age 95, of Harrah, OK, was born on July 3, 1913, in Butler, OK. She was the daughter of James A. & Pearl D. Stevens Chappell. Mary Helen left this life on January 13, 2009, in Harrah, OK. Mary Helen graduated from Clinton High School in 1932. She married Vern E. Miller on March 8, 1933, in Lawton, OK. She was a member of the Harrah United Methodist Church. Mary Helen enjoyed crafts, sewing and loved to travel, especially flying. Mary Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charles Miller; three brothers, Lee, Walter and Gene Chappell and one sister, Elva Chappell. Survivors include 2 sons, Dan Ray Miller, Harrah, OK; Larry D. Miller, Guthrie, OK; 2 daughters, Verna Helen Gravitt, Eufaula, OK, Ruth Ann Curtis, Okla. City, OK; 1 brother, J. A. Chappell, Jr., Northstonington, CT; 1 sister, Ruth Maxey, Georgetown, TX; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Harrah United Methodist Church, with Rev. Glenda Skinner-Noble officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
