Mary Frances Sorensen

Mary Frances Sorensen was born on March 20, 1921, in Weldon, Iowa, and departed this life on Monday, February 18, 2008, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Mary, the daughter of Roy and Magdalena Brechtel Wilson, was a resident of Meeker. She married Robert Elliott Sorensen on July 24, 1951. They made their home in Anaheim, CA. Robert preceded Mary in death in 1988. Mary moved to Meeker in 1999. She worked in food service, was of the Christian faith, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her parents and one brother also preceded Mary in death. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and D. Phillip Grimm of Meeker; grandchildren, Amanda Rowland and her husband, Cory, of Prague, Nicole Rose and her husband, Billy, of McLoud, and Jacob Grimm of Meeker; three great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Beverly Wilson of Indianola, Iowa. Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker beginning Thursday, February 21, 2008, at 9:00 AM.
